Welcome to the Ritter Family

Hi, Im Ivy - the maker behind Ritter Ohana Woodworking. I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Fl, and have been married to my high school sweetheart for 18 years. Together we have two amazing kids and a house full of love with our five fur babies.

Our military journey began in 2012 when my husband joined the Army at 30 years old, and ever since, military life has shaped so much of our story. What started as a funny contest between my husband and myself turned into a passion. I began with three tools - a circular saw, sander, and drill - and taught myself everything along the way through trail, error, and determination.

My Journey
What started with pallet wood became a passion for creating meaningful pieces that carry history and pride. Each design is crafted with intention — whether it's a military coin flag for retirement, a PCS plaque, or a personalized engraved keepsake.

2015

Started as a hobby-building furniture from pallet wood at our first duty station in Hawaii.

2016-2018

Stepped away to focus on family while living in Colorado.

2018

Returned to crafting in Hawaii, refining skills with higher-quality materials and builds.

2020

Discovered a passion for military pieces-starting with the first coin flag.

2021

Added laser engraving, expanding into more detailed and personalized designs.

2022

Shifted fully from furniture to military-focused work during our move to Virgina.

2024

Continued growing skills in plaques, shadow boxes, and flags after relocation to Kentucky

Now based in Maryland-continued to create meaningful, custom military gifts.

Each piece that leaves my shop is designed, cut, sanded, painted, and assembled by hand in my woodshop. As a military spouse, I know these gifts celebrate promotions, retirement, PCS moves, and celebrations. That is why every detail matters.
